At Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, the spirit of aloha has shaped our daily actions and interactions since 1958. This mission continues today as we care for our 249,543 members at our 235-bed medical center in Honolulu, 27 outpatient clinics on the islands of Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui, and through independent primary care providers on Kauai, Lanai, and Molokai. All facilities are supported by our regional offices, located in Honolulu.
Joining our team means having the opportunity to infuse your skills, your culture, and your ideals into your daily practices—while building a career that is both challenging and rewarding.
It also means joining the highest-rated commercial health plan in the state. That's right! The National Committee for Quality Assurance recently named Kaiser Permanente the highest-rated commercial health plan in Hawaii—as well as one of the top-rated plans in the nation. Additionally, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services awarded the region's Medicare plan five stars—the highest overall rating—for the second year in a row. Based on excellence in prevention, treatment, and member satisfaction, these rankings exemplify our mission of serving Hawaii's people as ohana (family).
Additionally, our Moanalua Medical Center received the honor of:
- Being among the safest hospitals in the nation—one of only two Hawaii hospitals to receive an "A" in a national report card issued by the Leapfrog Group focusing on patient safety.
- Being a top performer on key quality measures, receiving national recognition inImproving America's Hospitals: The Joint Commission's Annual Report on Quality and Safety 2012.
- Receiving the GTWG Stroke Gold Plus Achievement, the American Heart Association's highest recommendation for stroke care.
- Being the first and only Baby-Friendly Hospital in Hawaii—a distinction from the World Health Organization and UNICEF in recognition of our advocacy of the benefits of breastfeeding.
