Opened in the spring of 2012, the 175,000-square-foot Gaithersburg Medical Center has the distinction of being Kaiser Permanente's largest medical center in Maryland. The state-of-the-art facility houses a broad range of capabilities, the latest in technical advancements, and an unparalleled array of primary and specialty services, including CDU/urgent care, blood transfusion, pain management, and speech therapy.

Designed to incorporate best practices and innovations in both clinical care delivery and workflow efficiency, Gaithersburg is one of four brand-new multi-service medical centers opening in Kaiser Permanwente's Mid-Atlantic region.

Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States will be holding a Open House for experienced clinical RNs for our Perinatal Service Center. This will be an outstanding opportunity to meet with our recruitment representatives and hiring managers. We currently have full-time and part-time positions available with variable schedules. Saturday, February 20th 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Gaithersburg, Maryland 

Qualifications include: 

  • At least one year of Labor and Delivery or high risk obstetrics experience within the last twelve months

  • At least three years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high risk setting or high risk antepartum experience preferred 

  • BSN or health related field preferred 

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • A current RN licensure in Maryland and Virginia (or a compact state license)

  • Current RN licensure in DC within ninety days of hire

  • Maternal Newborn Nursing Certification from the National Certification Corporation preferred 

  • Membership in the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) preferred 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills

  • Proficiency of experience with high risk patient evaluation, including fetal monitoring (i.e., non-stress test skills), current knowledge of medications for high risk conditions, competency in triaging OB high risk conditions

  • Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software
