Caring for our communities for more than 60 years, Kaiser Permanente Northwest serves approximately 480,000 members in the Portland metro area, Salem, and southwest Washington. The region is home to 27 medical offices, 16 dental offices, and 11 administrative offices as well as Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center.
On June 17, 2009, work began on the brand-new 126-bed Westside Medical Center in the Tanasbourne area. When completed in 2013, this center will employ approximately 1,100 people, provide a range of medical services, and feature the latest in hospital design, technology, and advancements.
Home to Kaiser Permanente's Care Management Institute, Laboratory Services Center, and the Center for Health Research—which conducts major research studies and clinical trials—Kaiser Permanente Northwest appears on the National Committee for Quality Assurance's 2008 lists of the nation's top 50 commercial health plans and top 25 Medicare plans. Recognized by other organizations and unions as a model of collaboration, our Labor Management Partnership is one of the largest in the country.
