is the number one focus of all we do here at Kaiser Permanente. With a long history of advocating the health and well-being of our patients and their families, our Patient Care Services team works diligently to support the daily practices of each and every one of our health care professionals—giving them the tools, training, support, and encouragement they need to reach their potential.

Much of the work we're undertaking these days in National Patient Care Services is centered on innovation in quality, service, safety, and care delivery. It's about identifying best practices—both from internal and external sources—and bringing them into our organization in a systematic way. It's also about adopting these successful practices across our organization so that we can offer a superior, consistent care experience to our members and patients.

We believe that defining best practices is a responsibility shared by each and every one of us. So, as our health professionals go about their daily routines, we encourage creative thinking, collective brainstorming, and leveraging the expertise of other disciplines to solve everyday problems that can potentially keep us from delivering the highest level of care.

As we implement new technology and bring new tools to our daily work, we keep the needs of each individual patient at the heart of all we do.
