Q: What does the interview process look like?
A: For most of our positions, our recruitment process is pretty straightforward.
Once you have submitted your
interest in a position, we review and determine whether or not to move on to an interview.
The first interview
usually takes place by phone, but depending on location, they are sometimes in person.
The applicant may speak to
one or more people on these initial interviews. If proximity allows, the first interview is
sometimes followed by
a site visit. Once an applicant is selected, a salary is determined and the applicant is
notified by call or mail.
Q: Any tips for having a successful interview?
A: Be prepared. Know your skills and expertise. Understand the job expectations.
Q: If you could offer any advice to someone joining Kaiser Permanente as an intern or new grad, what would you say?
A: Use your time wisely. Get involved. Connect with your colleagues. Take advantage of your time here to learn as
much as you can about the organization and see if it’s a long-term fit. And be sure to showcase yourself and your
talents so people advocate for you and your success!

Q: What attributes are we looking for in a candidate?

skills and ideas to real-world challenges. Additional qualities we look for include a strong work ethic and the ability
to solve problems and learn quickly. We want people who are excited to be here, and who are genuinely interested in
building a career at an innovative care leader. If that describes you, you’ll be primed for success in our intern and
new grad roles.
