Specialist, Medicaid & Charitable Health Care (GA Health Insurance License) FT

Description: Provide support of the Medicaid and Charitable Health Coverage (CHC) Lines of Business through strategic outreach efforts. Support the execution of CHC strategy including outreach efforts, interdepartmental communication, product development, membership initiatives and overall program administration. Coordinate and collaborate to improve HEDIS quality measurements for Medicaid and CHIP patients. Support both programs to increase membership and drive utilization to meet budget goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Supports the implementation of enrollment strategies to achieve membership and budget targets.
  • Participates in activities with Clinical Operations to improve vaccination rates and other HEDIS quality measurements for Medicaid and CHIP patients.
  • Develops and maintains reports to monitor monthly enrollment activity against utilization / budget.
  • Coordinates community outreach efforts and facilitates onboarding operations for Charitable Health Coverage, Medicaid and CHIP populations.
  • Develops and operationalizes Charitable Coverage products, product modifications, benefits, and policies to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and achieving targeted membership.
  • Assist in coordination of operations with functional areas to assure timely and accurate work processes and reporting related to the Bridge Program.
  • Develops and maintains strategic external partner relationships to support enrollment activities and regional strategic imperatives.

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum four (4) years of work experience in non-profit community outreach or social services environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
    License, Certification, Registration
  • Georgia Insurance License.
  • Georgia Driver's License.

    Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in organizing, working in community collaborations.
  • Demonstrated experience in public health or government health insurance programs (Medicaid, Medicare or PeachCare).
  • Professional affiliation with professional associations, community organizations, and or business groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of health plan operations.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in healthcare, social work, public administration, or six (6) years of experience in a directly related field.
