Essential Functions:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.


Department Overview:

We are responsible for providing technical support on about a dozen applications/tools (some National) that are used by Underwriting/Account Management/Sales and Actuarial.  We work closely with our development teams and are the middle people between developers and users.  Our job is to assist our users from beginning to end on their issues/concerns/suggestions related to systems we support.


Internship Project:

We are seeking a Business Analyst intern for the National Pricing Solutions (NPS) Support Team. Responsibilities include creating entries in the Service Now Tracking System for user requests, triage the issues and own the problem resolution process. Also to be a user advocate and identify opportunities to ensure that users successfully complete their work. Responsible for identifying and documenting business processes through interviewing clients and reviewing and analyzing existing systems and processes.  Articulates interrelationships and recasts business flow into system specifications.  Conducts gap analyses to document discrepancies between business requirements and system capabilities.  May develop project plans and ensure plan adherence.  As system development progresses, may have input into reporting requirements/report development, user interfaces, and coordinates or conducts UAT and the final evaluation of the system solution.  Serves as liaison between line business (client) and Scrum Development Teams.

- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Additional Requirements:
- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 GPA or above.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
