Description:
Operates nuclear medicine imaging equipment to produce images of specified areas of the body in accordance w/ instructions of the Radiologist and/or designated physician, using knowledge of radiopharmaceutical techniques & procedures, anatomical & pathological relationships, & the contour & composition of body tissue. Makes members/patients & their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develops & sustains productive member/patient relationships. Actively seeks information to understand member/patient circumstances, problems, expectations, & needs. Builds rapport & cooperative relationship w/ members/patients. Considers how actions or plans will affect members; responds quickly to meet member/patient needs & resolves problems.

Essential Functions:

- In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the Kaiser Permanente Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives. Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, & to purchasers, contracted providers & vendors.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Six (6) months of subsequent experience operating nuclear medicine equipment or completion of an approved nuclear medicine program within the last twelve (12) months including registration or certification.
Education
- Completion of an approved training program in nuclear medicine technology plus currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or by the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMCB).
License, Certification, Registration
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or by the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMCB).
 
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment and perform related technical procedures.
- Working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical techniques and procedures, anatomical and pathological relationships, and the contour and composition of body tissues.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a caring and courteous manner.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.

This position will provide Nuc Med and PET services at the three specialty centers.

I’ve waited to get in to Kaiser for so long and now that I’m in, I’d never let go. I love people that i work with (although just like any other jobs, it has it’s highs and lows), i love my patients, pay is great and benefits are awesome!!
