Opthalmic Photographer

Essential Functions:
  • Operates an ophthalmic fundus camera (e.g., Zeiss Fundus Flash III) to photograph portions of the eye, such as anterior segment, the ocular adnexa & the ocular fundus
  • Explain test procedures & purpose
  • Monitor & evaluate test readings during procedures
  • Perform fluorescing angiography & ultrasound diagnostic procedures
  • Prepare exam results for interpretation by physician
  • Consult w/ physician concerning test results & alert physicians to positive test results or test abnormalities
  • Fill request for equipment & supplies
  • Assume other activities & responsibilities from time to time as directed

  • Pay Grade: 26


    Basic Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience as an ophthalmic photographer is required
  • Certification by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel on Ophthalmology preferred


    Notes:
  • This is an ON CALL/PER DIEM POSITION, days and hours may vary.
  • Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri and some Saturdays may be required between the hours of 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • May be assigned to work in another area based on operational need.
  • Hours of work may change based on operational need.
  • Team members in this department are expected to provide members and guests with high quality customer service both on the telephone and in person, demonstrate a patient focused, can do attitude along with partnering with co-workers, physicians, providers and management to exceed expectations.
