IT Compliance Training and Monitoring Undergraduate Internship

Description: Department Profile:
The National IT Compliance department is focused on helping users understand and navigate IT compliance as it applies to KP with various laws, regulations and industry standards. The Compliance Awareness and Guidance group helps users better understand these laws, regulations, and industry standards as well as determine KP-s gaps through providing trainings, awareness material development, control monitoring and guidance development.

Internship Project:
- Control monitoring - focus on developing dashboards in Tableau on data that is received for various IT controls
- Awareness Material Development - assist the team in development of infographics, videos, information sheets, toolkits, and guidance documents related to various IT compliance topics
- Training development - assist the team develop in-person and online trainings as well as develop interactive trainings (i.e. escape rooms)

Desired Skill Set:
- Experience with Tableau (data visualization software) or similar applications
- IT experience (can be school-related)

Required Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft Office products
- Clearly and concisely communicates verbally and in writing, and delivers effective presentations
- Ability to multi-task on assigned work/projects and effectively prioritize
- Ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills

Desired Majors:
- Computer Science major
- Information Technology related majors

- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.



Basic Qualifications:
Experience

Education
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university within the last year.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:
- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

- 3.0 GPA or above
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
