Description:
Full-time residency in HMO-based clinical psychology or neuropsychology. Resident will function as a full member of the KPNW Regional Psychologist team and work with assigned patient population.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provides services for assigned patient population, which may include adult, adolescent, and child psychotherapy; or couples and family therapy; group therapy; or neuropsychological evaluation services depending on area of assignment.
  • Screen and triage service referrals.
  • Completes clinical interview and general psychological evaluations.
  • Supervision by licensed psychologist or his/her designee (2 hour per week requirement).
  • Administrative or project time for clinical consultation, didactic participation, program improvement project, and/or residency project.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Graduate of an accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
  • License, Certification, Registration
  • Approval by Oregon and Washington State Board of Psychologist Examiners with clinical supervisor identified and training program approved.

  • Additional Requirements:
  • Practical and internship experiences related to assignment.
  • General level of experience in psychological evaluation required.
  • Broad-based education and clinical experience in psychology, human development, psychopathology, psychotherapy, health, psychological evaluation and assessment, ethics and the laws of clinical practice, and utilization of supervision.
  • Final candidate must be approved for Residency status by Oregon State Board of Psychologist Examiners. Assistance from KPNW management is available.
