Description:

The Direct Response Marketing Department is responsible for developing and implementing targeted direct response marketing strategies to support business line growth objectives. Active engagement in a range of responsibilities, including assisting in all aspects of the Marketing Communication implementation to support direct response marketing and brand strategies; supporting the senior staff in the development of day-to-day marketing campaigns and media placement activities; and assisting in the development and project management of day-to-day marketing campaigns and internal client relationships.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Gathers requirements for campaign and manages day to day relationships with clients.

  • Develops/writes campaign brief and works with agency to develop tactical executions.

  • Manages agency campaign budget.

  • Contributes to Marketing Plan Development.

  • Manages complex project implementation of Direct Marketing campaigns, including creative development and media buy.

  • Reviews and edits marketing materials and coordinates editing process with internal and external partners.

  • Provides recommendations to management on important issues of assigned projects.

  • Contributes to improvements in project management methodologies and processes.

  • Manages direct marketing budget expenses and reports variances to manager.

  • Drives strategy as set forth by management and ensures team implements on time and on budget.

  • Can have 1-2 direct reports.

  • Provides periodic work guidance/direction to, and training of team members and external vendor partners.

  • Basic Qualifications:

    Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in development and implementation of Direct Response Marketing Campaigns across multiple channels in an agency or corporate marketing environment.

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration marketing, communications or advertising.

  • License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A


  • Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Proven self-starter with strong ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge of Direct Response Marketing principles, Consumer behavior.

  • Strong meeting facilitation skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement multi-faceted direct response marketing campaigns.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage through influence.

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.


  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing staff, cross functional and external partners in fast paced, deadline oriented environment.

  • Experience managing budgets and reporting variances.
