This position will be responsible for financial analysis and for coordinating/executing procedures related to the development of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated and Credit Group financial statements. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans and trended future requirements. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of various quarterly schedules and exhibits, such as the Audit & Compliance Committee exhibits, management representation letters, property plant & equipment/lease commitment supplemental schedules and other key various deliverables.
-Manage and coordinate the completion of required monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including supplemental schedules and necessary disclosures.
-Assist in the creation and review of stand-alone financials and disclosures for various U.S. GAAP and other reporting requirements.
-Accountable for the coordination, quality review, compilation and distribution of financial data.
-Identify, research and document financial accounting issues to determine impacts on financial reporting. Proactively communicate significant changes to key stakeholders.
-Provide support for special projects, such as acquisition activity, and other projects as necessary and directed by management.
-Execute continuous improvement on individually assigned tasks and those affecting the department.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve problems independently without detailed supervision. Flexibility to perform a variety of detailed accounting functions and meet established deadlines. Able to piece together complex data from multiple sources, and determine if the data is adequate to meet financial reporting requirements for GAAP and for outside agency purposes.
-Update accounting policies with assistance across various departments and regions, as necessary.
-Support year-end audited regions outside of California stand-alone reporting by performing a quality review of footnotes and disclosures.

Purpose and frequency of contact for all above customers varies widely depending on accounting standard and monthly activities and special projects.
- Minimum five (5) years of financial analysis or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- Requires expert knowledge of own area of functional responsibility and advanced knowledge of multiple related functions.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
-Full use and application of standard, financial analysis principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
-Demonstrated ability to identify issues, propose solution and highlight any findings
-Enthusiasm, strong team player and passionate about contributing to a great culture and a great organization.
-Experience in a highly diversified and complex organization with successive levels of accountability and results required.
-Strong technical knowledge of GAAP accounting principles. Health-care experience is preferred.
-Big 4 or public accounting experience, CPA and knowledge of technical accounting memo writing, preferred.
-Significant compliance orientation with demonstrated expertise in internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley.
-Knowledge and experience with major financial software systems.
-Experience with project management and change management.
-Involvement in major system implementations preferred.
-Proven team player with the ability to problem solve and collaborate with multiple internal customers.
-Demonstrated excellence in written / verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
