Responsible for providing administrative leadership and regional support to the educational infra-structure of The Permanente Medical Group through team leadership role for management of all aspects of multiple, concurrent education and training programs for TPMG physicians, Residents, TPMG Physician Chiefs-of-Service, TPMG Board of Directors and Physicians-in-Chief.
Essential Functions:
• Serves as administrative liaison between program manager and others within and outside the organization.
• Provides on-site consultative services to facility education departments, providing administrative oversight, budget oversight and resource allocation.
• Works independently and in concert with physician.
• Directors to ensure local education departments meet regulatory guidelines to maintain appropriate local and regional accreditation.
• Manages the documentation and organization of statistics and data in compliance with regulatory agency requirements and guidelines.
• Develops strategies for soliciting Special Procedures/Equipment Training proposals from various Chiefs' groups, analyzes requests for training, establishes priorities and makes recommendations to Executive Leadership.
• Manages database design and is accountable for tracking to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies related to educational program accreditation and physician licensure.
• Reviews and updates Affiliation Agreement Contracts with multiple residency programs.
Secondary Functions:
• Manages administrative and logistical aspects of educational programs for TPMG physicians.
Selected candidate will be exepcted to work in office/on site in Oakland, Ca
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in project management including event and meeting planning experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A
Additional Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of organizational strategic priorities and understanding of educational priorities for TPMG Physicians.
- Hotel and vendor contract negotiation skills.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Education and Training department functions preferred.
