Description: Department Profile:
The Chief Technology Office (CTO) organization aligns national and regional IT strategies to mitigate complexity, foster innovation and enable rapid implementation across Kaiser Permanente. The CTO organization supports Kaiser Permanente-s quest to transform health care by building a technology roadmap that is strategic, innovative and collaborative. Working closely with regional, national and IT business partners, CTO is currently concentrating on four Technology areas of Focus: Cloud, Data, Internet of Things (IoT) and Services. - Strategic Planning
- Portfolio Management Operations
- Workforce Development & Resource Management
- Performance & Talent Management
- Communications & Engagement
- Financial Management & Planning
- Vendor / Contract engagement & management

Internship Project:
- Participate in meetings and presentations within Chief Data Office
- Assist with organizing and documenting engagements
- Create various dashboards for team engagements and initiatives
- Work with leads on capacity planning and project reporting
- Assist with at least one specific client engagement; participate in the Business Case / SOW development and execution processes.
- Participate in client meetings with appropriate team members and directors
- Assist entire team in client deliverables
- Help team prepare for business presentations
- Create and update project schedules and timelines
- Document best practices and / or processes for the Chief Data Office
- Enhance communication strategy
- Document organization processes and workflows for internal and external use
- Develop team marketing / branding collateral for various communication and engagement forums

Desired Skill Set:
- Availability to work 32 - 40 p/week during the entire internship program
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Internet skills: Internet research, Outlook; Excel; PowerPoint and understanding of database programs
- Extraordinary organization skills to create processes for the team and recommend changes to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team
- Project management skills to lead multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with senior level leaders and work with senior executives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively explain detailed information.
- Advanced analytical and data skills with the ability to grasp new concepts, approaches and systems and uses information to make decisions.
- Creative mindset to brainstorm with and develop suggestions and new ideas.
- Knowledge within the healthcare and technology industry.
- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills.
- Familiar with financial planning and reporting processes.
- High level of confidentiality and demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive information in strictest confidence and able to maintain confidentiality in all business matters
- Ability to work independently using good judgment

- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university within the last year.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
