Department Overview
We manage all externally-facing sponsorship and events for Kaiser Permanente Washington, ranging in level of impact, to achieve the following goals:
1. Increase brand awareness among consumers
2. Increase brand regard through positive experiences
3. Build alignment with other well-regarded brands
4. Engage staff and members, position our leaders
5. Cultivate strong partnerships in an effort to support the growth of our business and improve the community

Intern Project
This internship will predominantly support our events as the Official Health Partner of Special Olympics Washington, but will also lean into other community events as needed.

Preferred Skills: 
-Exceptional organizational and project management skills
-Ability to work on a fast-paced, high performing team
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Comfort with travel to events, including to our Spokane region
-Majors: Public Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related

Provide clerical support to a project, program or department. Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, word processing, developing spreadsheets, compiling and preparing reports and analyzing and presenting data.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Uses computer to develop spreadsheets, input data, compile/prepare reports and analyze and/or present data. Verifies accuracy of reports. Uses computer to complete work including composing correspondence, letters, memos, etc.
  • Operates a variety of office equipment including photocopier, typewriter, document scanner, 10-key and/or fax.
  • Establishes & maintains filing system for project, program or other special need.
  • May provide non-clerical support for a department. May answer questions via the telephone or email.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum one (1) year of work experience using a computer, developing spreadsheets and working independently.
  • Education
  • High School Diploma OR General Education Devlopment (GED) required.
  • Currently in college at time of submission.
  •  License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A

  • Additional Requirements:
  • Communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Computer skills in a Windows environment, including MS Word and Excel.
  • May require knowledge of designated department processes and procedures.
  • Work experience in the designated department or similar environment may be required.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and must have completed some coursework in a related study to the department or relevant work experience.
