Description:
In collaboration with HPA and other department team members, provides analytical capabilities and leadership necessary to fully define, scope and execute various departmental and interdepartmental projects of a complex nature. Acts as subject matter expert and key point of contact for assigned project effort. Serves as a facilitator to assure coordination and integration of all work processes. Identifies areas for standardization and process improvement and assists in the documentation of these items. Prepares and delivers presentations to all levels of management as necessary. Performs independent analysis and provides guidance on more complex analytical projects and planning resources and works with clients/department management, to identify key business issues, outline strategic alternatives and recommend action plans. Facilitates and participates on cross functional teams in designing business solutions and accomplishing stated goals. Ensures delivery of high-quality solutions on-time, on-budget, on scope and on value; collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues; project planning, project risk management, as well as tracking and reporting on project status and achievement of project objectives. Evaluates and distills analysis conducted by other departments and/or outside consultants.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs independent analysis and provides guidance on more complex analytical projects and planning resources. Works with clients/department management to identify key business issues, outline strategic alternatives and recommend action plans. Evaluates and distills analysis conducted by other departments and/or outside consultants.

  • Facilitates and participates on cross functional teams in designing business solutions and accomplishing stated goals. Ensures delivery of high quality solutions.

  • PROVIDES ANALYTICAL CAPABILITIES AND LEADERSHIP TO FULLY DEFINE, SCOPE AND EXECUTE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTAL AND INTERDEPARTMENTAL PROJECTS OF A COMPLEX NATURE RELATED TO PHARMACY HEALTH PLAN OPERATIONS. ACTS AS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT FOR PHARMACY RELATED OPERATIONAL PROCESSES, INCLUDING THOSE DELEGATED TO THE PBM. FACILITATES AND PARTICIPATES ON CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAMS IN DESIGNING PHARMACY RELATED BUSINESS SOLUTIONS AND MONITORS/RESOLVES DAILY ESCALATED ISSUES RELATED TO HEALTH PHARMACY OPERATIONS.  TRACK AND REPORT ON PROJECT STATUS AND ACHIEVEMENT OF OBJECTIVES.  EVALUATES AND DISTILLS ANALYSIS CONDUCTED BY OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND/OR OUTSIDE CONSULTANTS.  IN ADDITION TO PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS BELOW, STRONGLY PREFER APPLICANT WITH PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSE OR 10+ YEARS OF PROGRESSIVE EXPERIENCE IN PHARMACY HEALTH PLAN OR PHARMACY BENEFIT MANAGER (PBM) OPERATIONS.



  • Basic Qualifications:

    Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience in health plan, IT, claims, customer service, membership areas of a heatlhplan

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree OR a minimum ten (10) years of experience in claims, customer service, membership, configuration or other health plan functions requiring in-depth systems knowledge.
