**THIS IS A TERM LIMITED POSITION THAT RUNS THROUGH 12/31/2019.INCLUDES PARTIAL BENEFITS.YOU WILL BE HELPING EXECUTE KEY STRATEGIC INITIATIVES, HELPING EXTEND KAISER PERMANENTE'S AWARD-WINNING HEALTH CARE IN WASHINGTON STATE, AS PART OF A HIGHLY SKILLED TEAM OF PROJECT MANAGERS IN THE EPMO.



This position reports to the Director of the Improvement Promition office and acts as a lead for large complex enterprise wide projects. Consults on Strategic initiatives and provides structure by defining scope, identifying key tactics to meet objectives and goals. Builds timelines and work plans to support work stream implementation, facilitates critical thinking and conceptual analysis. Supports strategic prioritization process for the enterprise. Actively supports the development, implementation and ongoing utilization of an enterprise Project Management Life-Cycle (PMLC). Build relationships accross the enterprise and ensure the highest quality client experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead large, complex, enterprise-wide projects through the project management life cycle. Provide leadership, coaching and support to members of a project team, including other project managers.projects

  • Provide project planning support including facilitation of business case, cost benefit analysis, alternative analysis, RFI/RFP, business requirements, resource impacts and associated documentation to support project consideration and prioritization

  • Consult on Strategic initiatives and provide structure by defining scope, identifying key tactics to meet objectives and goals. Build timelines and work plans to support work stream implementation, facilitate critical thinking and conceptual analysis.

  • Support Strategic prioritization process for the enterprise

  • Actively support the development, implementation and ongoing utilization of an enterprise Project Management Life-Cycle (PMLC)

  • Basic Qualifications:

    Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience leading teams.

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing large strategic projects and working with senior or executive leaders.

  • Minimum seven (7) years of project management experience.

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree in health care, business or related field

  • License, Certification, Registration

  • N/A


  • Additional Requirements:

  • Understands lean principles, tools and methods

  • Consulting skills such as contracting and negotiating

  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects within tight time, cost and quality targets.

  • Strong organization skills and ability to understand large complex ideas; ability to work and reduce to smaller elements: prioritized and sequenced

  • Identify problems, research solutions and reduce impacts to work

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Effective at communicating with all levels of the organization, including written communication, presentation and facilitation

  • Understanding and use of Planning tools and business processes

  • Excellent understanding and use of PM tools and methodologies


  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience leading teams.

  • Five (5) years of experience managing large strategic projects; working with senior or executive leaders

  • Ten (10) years of project management experience.

  • MBA or health care

  • Project Management Professional Certification is preferred by date of hire/transfer.

  • Understands and has used lean tools and methods
