Description:
This role is responsible for leading a team of 10-15 instructional designers and trainers in creating, delivering, and assessing the impact of instruction that improves the performance of our staff.  The scope of the role is all Membership Administration across all Lines of Business for the Program office Shared Service.  Works with operations leaders to identify content that can help those leaders overcome performance challenges.  Responsible for delivery of training in support of KP MembershipConnect which includes instruction on Oracle ORMB and Epic Tapestry Membership Modules, and for Legacy MA operations for the KPIF and Commercial lines of business.   Will matrix report to many leaders in operations and in the program management team.   Administrative reporting is to the ED of Business Process Management in Commercial MA.




Job Summary:


Manages the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and need assessment of training and development programs for company managers and employees. Determines company needs for first-line supervisory and management development training, as well as interpersonal skills and communication training. Develops and/or approves content, methods, and materials for training staff and may conduct courses. Develops methods for evaluation of program effectiveness. Typical responsibilities may include development and delivery of programs, such as new employee orientation, performance management and/or organizational development training. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.





Essential Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for the development and implementation of all training and/or OD programs in accordance with company initiatives and strategies.

  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have KP-wide effect.

  • Develops and establishes operational policies and procedures.

  • Participates in the development of overall functional objectives and KP goals related to training/or management development programs.

  • Participates in the long-term strategic planning and direction setting of the training function.

  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers/individual contributors.

  • Manages and evaluates training managers and or trainers performance and the infrastructure of the training department.


Basic Qualifications:
Experience


  • Minimum three (3) years of management experience.

  • Minimum eight (8) years of training experience.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in human resources/education OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A
Additional Requirements:

  • Requires advanced knowledge of training and working knowledge of multiple related functions.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
