Description:
Supports data processes and maintenance by assisting with data organization following broad guidelines and entering of data and reviewing accuracy of information as assigned. Contributes to data abstraction by capturing standard administrative and clinical data elements, such as patient data, using broadly defined procedures. Performs data processing to include performing adjustments for specific data with some guidance and conducting routine data uploads with a moderate degree of supervision. Supports completion of data reports by supporting the team in the development or use of data and metrics for internal and external reports with some guidance.
Job Summary:

Performs data processing to include performing adjustments for specific data with some guidance and conducting routine data uploads with a moderate degree of supervision. Supports completion of data reports by supporting the team in the development or use of data and metrics for internal and external reports with some guidance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Works with others within work team to obtain and share basic information. Listens and addresses performance feedback; provides feedback to team members. Learns new relevant knowledge and skills; acknowledges strengths and weaknesses based on career goals and takes action to leverage / improve them. Adapts to change, challenges, and feedback with moderate guidance. Responds to the needs of others to support completion of routine work tasks.
- Follows detailed, daily instructions to complete routine tasks with moderate supervision. Collaborates with others within ones team to address routine and some non-routine task issues; communicates status and escalates more complex issues. Adheres to established priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Identifies and speaks up for improvement opportunities within ones team.
- Supports overall data process and maintenance by: assisting with data organization following broad guidelines and entering of data; reviewing accuracy of information as assigned while using broad guidelines; and responding to standard requests for data as directed within the team.
- Contributes to data abstraction by: capturing standard administrative and clinical data elements, such as patient data using broadly defined procedures; reviewing standard medical records as directed to identify the data required for secondary use; updating content using defined processes and based on regulatory requirements as directed (e.g., metric changes); contributing to information from electronic health records based on broad guidelines and uploading for use and reduction of abstraction needs; and transferring data as needed in collaboration with the team.
- Supports or leverages data processing by: conducting routine data uploads with a moderate degree of supervision; maintaining records of verified adjustments for specified data with some supervision; and reconciling common discrepancies in data with some guidelines and escalating issues to a team member as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent AND Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a corporate or business office environment OR Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Health Information Credentials, Technician.
