Physical Therapist - Home Health and Hospice (1.0 FTE) King County

Kaiser Permanente of Washington is currently seeking a fantastic Physical Therapist to join our amazing Home Health and Hospice team in King County! This team is based out of our Seattle, WA branch office located on Capitol Hill, WA but services are provided to our patients throughout King County.

This is a full-time position generally working 8am to 5pm (or similar approved variation) Monday through Friday!

Provide comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients condition and develop goal-oriented treatment programs designed to bring patient to a normal or optimum state of health and functioning. Provide and document a course of treatment. May require local travel.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provides physical therapy observation, evaluative testing, and assessment. Develops, provides, and documents a clinically and age appropriate course of treatment based on evaluation. Displays good judgement in implementation of treatment plan. Uses therapeutic procedures including patient/caregiver education in an appropriate and competent manner.

  • Contributes to the efficiency and productivity of the organization by managing own workload autonomously (scheduling, consultation, participation in non-direct patient care activities as needed or assigned).
  • Remains current in recent development of PT/OT techniques and procedures per specialist/generalist practice areas.
  • Maintains effective written and verbal communication with patient, are providers and other members of the health care team; and documents according to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington/department standards.

  • Basic Qualifications:
    Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of rehabilitative experience.
    Education
  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited school of physical therapy.
    License, Certification, Registration
  • Washington State Physical Therapy License is required by date of hire/transfer.

  • N/A

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ortho, Neuro or Geriatric experience.
  • Master's degree in physical therapy.

    Physical And Occupational Therapists

    Kaiser Permanente offers full-time, part-time, per diem, and in-house registry opportunities in a variety of practice settings, including home health, inpatient, and outpatient. Additional opportunities include occupational therapist, physical therapist, and licensed physical therapist assistant.

    Respiratory Care

    At Kaiser Permanente, Respiratory Care Practitioners are an integral part of our respected health care team. They are responsible for developing patient treatment plans and have the opportunity to work in a variety of exciting and challenging areas from adult critical care to cardiology to high-risk delivery. Our Respiratory Care Practitioners have the advantage of computerized state-of-the-art equipment, including life support systems, arterial blood gas analyzers, and non-invasive monitors.

    Speech Pathology

    Kaiser Permanente's speech pathologists provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders by evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and implementing therapy and treatment programs.

    Audiology

    Our audiology professionals are a vital part of our rehab care team. They provide direction, counseling, and recommendations regarding the rehabilitation of hearing impaired patients.
