Description:
Provide comprehensive evaluation of assigned patient's condition and develop goal-oriented treatment programs designed to bring the patient to a normal or optimum state of health and functioning. Follows evidence-based evaluation and treatment strategies. Provide and document a course of treatment. Delivers care that meets or exceeds service excellence.Communicates and coordinates the patient's care with other team members. May require local travel.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Direct Patient Care: Participates in the evaluation and treatment of members within the employee's license. Follows all practice act and compliance regulations. Documents within the standards of Kaiser Permanente. Communicates with appropriate team members regarding the care of the member.  
  • Contributes to the efficiency and productivity of the organization by managing own workload autonomously (scheduling, consultation, participation in non-direct patient care activities as needed or assigned). Provides leadership to Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Patient Experience: Coordinates the delivery of care that meets or exceeds service excellence standards.
  • Remains current in recent developments in physical therapy techniques and procedures.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • License, Certification, Registration
  • Washington State DOH Physical Therapy License is required by hire/transfer date.
  • Basic Life Support- current or completed on hire.

  • Additional Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of relevant clinical practice in Physical Therapy developed through clinical coursework, internships or previous PT work experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customer/patient service.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • May require local travel.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years experience in an PT outpatient setting.
  • Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

    Physical And Occupational Therapists

    Kaiser Permanente offers full-time, part-time, per diem, and in-house registry opportunities in a variety of practice settings, including home health, inpatient, and outpatient. Additional opportunities include occupational therapist, physical therapist, and licensed physical therapist assistant.

    Respiratory Care

    At Kaiser Permanente, Respiratory Care Practitioners are an integral part of our respected health care team. They are responsible for developing patient treatment plans and have the opportunity to work in a variety of exciting and challenging areas from adult critical care to cardiology to high-risk delivery. Our Respiratory Care Practitioners have the advantage of computerized state-of-the-art equipment, including life support systems, arterial blood gas analyzers, and non-invasive monitors.

    Speech Pathology

    Kaiser Permanente's speech pathologists provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders by evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and implementing therapy and treatment programs.

    Audiology

    Our audiology professionals are a vital part of our rehab care team. They provide direction, counseling, and recommendations regarding the rehabilitation of hearing impaired patients.
