Description:
Under direct supervision, assists, in lead capacity, with training, prioritizing and monitoring work assignments of assigned personnel; performs variety of Housekeeping Aide duties (e.g., clean-up, waste disposal, material handling).

Essential Responsibilities:
  • In absence of supervisor, acts in lead capacity, with training and prioritizing work assignments of assigned personnel; assesses/monitors work performed and periodically reports findings as required.
  • Mops, sweeps, washes, polishes, waxes or otherwise cleans floors, walls, windows, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, etc. in patient rooms, operating room, treatment areas, halls, offices, reception and waiting rooms, restrooms, examination, storage and coffee break rooms; performs above duties to provide sanitary conditions and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Answers telephone and/or responds to requests by beeper or voice page; logs duties in assignment book.
  • Gathers, packs, totes, and disposes soiled laundry, rubbish, litter or other waste in sanitary and neat manner.
  • Lifts, totes, checks, packs, unpacks, moves, stores, delivers, or distributes equipment, material, linen supplies or other matter to assure proper handling/storage in a timely manner.
  • Operates floor washer, shampoo equipment, wet and dry vacuums, scrubber or polisher.
  • Informs supervisor of supplies and repairs needed.
  • Basic Qualifications:
    Experience
  • Minimum six (6) months experience in housekeeping methods and procedures.
  • Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • License, Certification, Registration

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in interpersonal relations, customer service, and detail-orientation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.

  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide culturally sensitive care and/or service.
