Description:
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of related organizational and departmental policies, guidelines, procedures, collective bargaining agreements, State and Federal laws, and regulations in all areas of HRS responsibility. Maintains detailed knowledge in assigned specialty area of HRS/Operations, HRSC, and NPS processing. Performs, reviews, and/or coordinates the completion and accuracy of information in accordance with established policies, guidelines, procedures, laws, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, etc. within established service expectations. Applies knowledge and escalates as appropriate. Coordinates with HR staff and others within and outside organization, to resolve and facilitate the resolution of customer issues and ensure activities are consistent with policy. Suggests improvements and modifies process to eliminate/minimize future issues. Provides resource, information, advice, and assistance on HR services to other staff members, employees, supervisors and external organizations as appropriate. Collaborates with others on issues requiring shared accountability and/or decision-making. Shares accountability for outcomes. Distributes routine and ad-hoc reports and other information related to HRS services. Participates in projects and/or programs relating to HR and other regulatory file maintenance and/or documentation. Updates and maintains work tools. Contributes to team success by orienting, training, and sharing learnings and specialty expertise with HR staff as requested. Participates in and/or coordinates activities relating to HRS/Operations processes.
Minimum two (2) years Human Resources experience, including one year experience in at least two of the following HR functions: employment, benefits or salary administration. Associates degree in human resources, business or related field OR two (2) years of directly related experience. N/A.
Working knowledge of employment-related federal and state laws/regulations (e.g., TDI, FMLA, etc.). Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and follow-through skills. Ability to organize and prioritize workload in an effective manner, communicate at all levels with employees and supervisors, and to work effectively on a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to write letters, memos, etc. effectively. group presentation experience. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business.
