Description:
Resolves organizational problems for national quality control of timekeeping systems (e.g., KP TIME System) by reinforcing relationships and strategy of work conducted alongside HR, Payroll, and other cross-functional groups across levels of the organization to resolve barriers that separate payments. Forecasts future needs for issues or data requesting/generation/analysis to resolve practical issues by impacting the planning objectives and strategies for review and analysis. Ensures quality assurance for daily organizational operations by impacting and communicating newly established business processes to clients and providing analytical research and program development for the system and ensuring that objectives are achieved. Ensures that clients have current and accurate documentation (e.g., KRONOS timekeeping and payroll related materials) by influencing the development of new strategies and concepts. Conducts and oversees timekeeping and absence audit enterprise-wide to perform system and timecard audits for client areas. Proactively creates processes to avoid escalated customer inquiries by consulting on human resources (HR) knowledge, contract knowledge, judgment, and initiative while serving as the center of excellence business owner designee for National Payroll Services and KRONOS support teams regarding customer issues.
Job Summary:

Essential Responsibilities:

- Manages designated units or teams by translating business plans into tactical action items; oversees the completion of work assignments and identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures all policies and procedures are followed; partners with key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure products and / or services meet requirements and expectations while aligning with departmental strategies. Aligns team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; assumes responsibility for decision making; fosters direct reports to resolve escalated issues as appropriate. Communicates goals and objectives; incorporates resources, costs, and forecasts into team and unit plans; ensures matrixed resources are fulfilling service or performance requirements across reporting lines. Removes obstacles that impact performance; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences teams and units to operate in alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Resolves organizational problems for national quality control of timekeeping systems (i.e., HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System) by: reinforcing relationships and strategy with HR, Payroll, and other cross-functional groups across levels of the organization to resolve barriers that separate payments; leveraging strategic thinking while overseeing the validation, testing, and enhancements of systems as well as approval of data for the final time card in the TIME system from the paper TIME forms submitted; collaborating with other managers and directors and/or providing direction to impact planning objectives and strategies for addressing Timekeeping and Absence Management irregularities across the enterprise; and influencing the development of new strategies and concepts for supporting the liaison for internal sources regarding Timekeeping and Absence Management as a whole (e.g., Family Medical Leave Act/Leave of Absence [FMLA/LOA]) timecard coding and pay discrepancies as needed; and generating and maintaining of policies (e.g., SOX controls), ensuring that they are current and reviewed by legal and regional affiliates.
- Forecasts future needs for issues or data requesting/generationalysis to resolve practical issues by: impacting the planning objectives and strategies for review and analysis; and driving solutions for a wide range of problems creating reports for employees with timekeeping elements to help their managers make informed corrective decisions if necessary (e.g., grievance resolution).
- Ensures quality assurance for daily organizational operations: impacting and communicating newly established business processes and/or pay practice updates to clients as well as ensuring that the right users have access to the correct Timekeeping and Absence Management system; providing analytical research and program development for the system and ensuring that objectives are achieved; reviewing internal system controls while influencing the development of new strategies and concepts to ensure that SOX and compliance controls are met; and using strategic thinking to comply with contract agreements, pay practice standards, and union agreements as established by Labor Relations.
- Ensures that clients have current and accurate documentation (i.e., HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System timekeeping and payroll related materials) by: influencing the development of new strategies and concepts.
- Conducts and oversees timekeeping and absence audit enterprise-wide by: forecasting future needs and impacting planning objectives and strategies of audit processes organization-wide; influencing the development of new strategies and concepts to perform periodic system and timecard audits for client areas; and developing solutions to reconcile a wide range of complex HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System and payroll audits that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity to ensure that employees are receiving adequate pay.
- Proactively creates processes to avoid escalating customer inquiries by: consulting on human resources (HR) knowledge, contract knowledge, judgment, and initiative and influencing the development of new strategies and concepts; serving as the center of excellence business owner designee for National Payroll Services and HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System support teams regarding customer issues and independently ensuring that service standards are met and that objectives are achieved; and influencing the development of new strategies and concepts for providing ongoing education and information to customers and HR services as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or related field AND Minimum eight (8) years of experience in timekeeping, an administrative environment or directly related field OR Minimum eleven (11) years of experience in timekeeping, an administrative environment or a directly related field.
