Mobile Health Vehicle Operator
Under the immediate supervision of the Manager, the Mobile Health Vehicle Operator is safely and responsibly driving the Mobile Health Vehicle to and from its home location to a wide variety of locations throughout the island of Oahu. Assumes responsibility for monitoring and ensuring maintenance and service needs are met of the vehicle. Performs proper set-up and breakdown of vehicle to service patients. Provides general reception including, registration, answering the telephone, assisting patients in obtaining medical services, scheduling patients for medical appointments and collecting payments for services rendered.
- Primary driver of (40ft) health vehicle. Vehicle pick up, delivery, set-up, tear down, including onboard generator, septic and power, any and all electronic equipment, such as computer, printer, fax, etc., returning vehicle to designated facility at end of event.
- Ensures proper/timely scheduled maintenance of vehicle, including tracking maintenance. Maintains and checks equipment for malfunction and/or damage.
- Ability to identify current and potential vehicle problems, notifies Administrative Production Manager immediately. Responsible for ensuring vehicle fuel level is sufficient, driving MHV to appropriate vendor appointment for fueling, recording fuel usage.
- Assist with initial problem identification and solution under the direction of a higher level resource.
- Responsible for inventory of RV includes electronic assets, equipment, supplies and other items associated with the RV.
- Interacts with members/patients to schedule appointments.
- Greets members using KP market service standards (A-heart and 4-habits) in assuring Aloha, and providing exceptional customer/reception services.
- Collects payment for services rendered. Answers and returns telephone calls and messages.
- Provide excellent customer service-patients, employers, staff.
- Prepare and process a variety of forms (i.e. AVS, off-work/ back to work, exchange of records). Works closely with clinical staff.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills.
- Stocks and supplies medical office materials (some lifting required, up to 75 Ibs).
- Cleans and organizes vehicle (in-between scheduled EVS). Hook up, fills, empties and disconnect water/waste tanks at MHV home location.
- Performs fundamental IT trouble-shooting.
- May perform other duties as required.
- SPECIAL JOB FEATURES: Starting and end times may vary. This person will be working Mobile Health Vehicle and will require routine travel to employer sites and community locations throughout Oahu. The position may include working on weekends on occasion.
- Minimum one (1) year of recent experience in a customer service environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (Hawaii) OR Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (Hawaii)
- Meets all requirements to hold the CDL license under Federal and State laws.
- Ensure that all documentation as required by DOT are current and valid.
- Hawaii Driver History Record.
- PUC (Physical Examination, Medical Clearance Card).
- The State DOTs (Dept. of Transportation) Motor Vehicle Safety Office when they conduct roadside inspections, require the driver to have a good enough command of English to communicate with examiner.
- Knowledge of computer software applications.
- Knowledge of local streets, Kaiser Hawaii market locations and Oahu highways.
- Heavy & Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver of one (1) year.
