Job Summary:

This individual contributor is responsible for administering compensation policies and programs, assisting in the development of compensation analysis plans, assisting in market pricing and analysis, and updating job descriptions and compensation data in HR systems as appropriate.

This position assists with salary planning activities, evaluating and pricing jobs under peer supervision, providing support on projects, and supporting the planning and development of HR compensation implementation strategies, programs, and policies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise in subject area to generate creative solutions;  ensuring all procedures and policies are followed; leveraging an understanding of  data, and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating cross-functionally to solve business problems; identifying and monitoring priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to address improvement opportunities; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.

  • Administers compensation policies and programs by researching and determining salary for new offers and promotions under the guidance of more senior employees; supporting the review and processing of company salary structures; reviewing and providing support on incentive and recognition programs; analyzing reports; and conducting FLSA and market competitive reviews; developing recommendations to modify or implement new programs, salary structures, policies and procedures as appropriate; and providing consultation and education to HR partners to support communications with managers and supervisor groups on compensation philosophy, programs and processes.

  • Participates in and may lead elements of the administration of annual compensation planning, and ensuring compensation data is properly loaded to HR systems for evaluation by compensation consultants.

  • Assists in market pricing and analysis by auditing and evaluating compensation survey data; collecting competitive salary information; researching issues related to compensation surveys; assessing competitive labor market trends; informing salary structures and market positioning to support labor negotiations, talent acquisition, financial planning, and other business processes; and performing job matching and suggesting benchmarks for equitable and competitive employee compensation.

  • Assists with salary planning activities by researching and recommending salary adjustments; identifying corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems; providing costing and recommendations for salary budgets and escalations; completing payout calculations of basic to moderately complex compensation plans; documenting compensation policies and pay practices; and reviewing salary adjustments for compliance within guidelines.

  • Supports the administration of job evaluation by updating or entering job descriptions in HR systems; validating content and format; and performing job matching and market pricing under peer-review and sign-off.

  • Provides support on projects by coordinating stakeholder contacts; assisting in the analysis and coordination of project plans for compensation-specific deliverables; and coordinating project schedules based on resource forecasts.

  • Supports the planning and development of HR compensation implementation strategies, programs, and policies by researching challenges during implementation; meeting compensation metrics; and working collaboratively to problem solve, test, implement and communicate changes to ensure compliance of compensation systems and processes.
Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Social or other sciences, Public Administration or related field and Two (2) years experience in human resources, finance, data analytics, or business operations. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years compensation experience.
  • Two (2) years experience (within the last five years) working with intermediate Excel functions, including vlookup, pivot tables, and formulas.
