ED, KPHC Regional Engagement

The position will interface with local business, operational and care delivery teams to support market clinical, strategic, and affordability goals through technology solutions that maintain, support, and enhance the operations of KP HealthConnect (KPHC).  This role includes the active engagement at leadership discussions focused on KP HealthConnect and care delivery systems. Represents CDTS-KPHC in local KPHC Steering/Sponsor Groups/Leadership Team, Revenue Cycle, Market Leadership, HP/H, forums. Develop KPHC improvement strategies by evaluating trends and established measurements; determining productivity; designing programs and procedures; resolving problems; implementing change; and serving as a conduit to regions for members of the KP HealthConnect Product Teams and Integration Services leadership teams. Responsible for enterprise wide KP HealthConnect IT market oversight and support of the Epic application including budgets, policies, procedures, resource allocation, and integrations with circle of support applications (Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory, MDIP, etc.). Be a trusted thought leader, partnering locally and nationally to understand strategic initiatives, business priorities, and challenges.  Translate where local priorities are also enterprise priorities to identify opportunities to be more efficient and effective with delivery.  This position exemplifies the need for strong collaboration to ensure superior service is provided to our members and providers for the KP HealthConnect system.

• This position will have primary responsibility for: Understanding market and organizational strategies and priorities to allocate resources in alignment with enterprise strategic goals and initiatives. Understanding organizational strategy & priorities to influence market parity & alignment.


• Aligning where possible, market, and organizational KPHC strategies and strategic investment programs for efficiency and effective resource allocation.


• Collaborating with market and national executives and leaders to identify and document strategic goals and objectives related to KP HealthConnect investment roadmap (i.e., Quality, Medicare, Pharmacy, Artificial Intelligence, RPA etc.).


• Collaborating with CDTS KPHC application owners to deliver on local, market, and national projects & priorities.


• Building relationships with key department leaders in each region and partner with them to understand and support their strategic initiatives, business priorities, and program delivery.


• Participating in market meetings with customers/vendors as needed to represent CDTS -KPHC.


• Being the Business Application Owner/Business Application Owner Designee and providing direction for the health and availability of the applications for his/her region, including data center switchovers.


• Overseeing market KPHC compliance for SOX and other compliance programs.


• Serving as escalation point regarding decisions for changes to the environment. 


• Optimizing the deployment and utilization of EPIC products and the circle of support systems through business partners to KP members


• Partnering with KPIT and Epic leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality, highly available application system delivery.


• Leading or facilitating the design, development and implementation of project plans and programs; delivering multiple complex projects involving numerous customers, interests and goals, on time and on budget (i.e., Third Party Integrations (ADA, VUC, Imprivata, E-Visits, and instance consolidation strategies).


• Building a strategic application roadmap that incorporates latest technology for mobility and analytics and ensures virtual connectivity to several stakeholders, including the consumer/patient.


• Supporting market program deliver, serving as a focal point and escalation point for KP HealthConnect concerns.
