Job Summary:
Resolves complex problems for national quality control of timekeeping systems (e.g., KP TIME System) by guiding strategy of work conducted alongside HR, Payroll, and other cross-functional groups across levels of the organization to resolve barriers that separate payments. Requests, generates, and analyzes various long-term issues or data to resolve complex issues requiring innovation and ingenuity to solve by planning the effective development and implementation of reviews and analysis. Ensures quality assurance for long-term and/or complex daily operations by ensuring that newly established business processes are communicated and implemented to/by clients and providing analytical research and program development for the system and having a management review committee/governing body review their work. Ensures that clients have current and accurate documentation (e.g., KRONOS timekeeping and payroll related materials) by driving the application of strategies and concepts to determine the best course of action. Conducts timekeeping and absence audit enterprise-wide to perform system and timecard audits for client areas. Proactively creates processes to avoid escalated customer inquiries by applying human resources (HR) knowledge, contract knowledge, judgment, and initiative while serving as the center of excellence specialist for National Payroll Services and KRONOS support teams regarding customer issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides developmental opportunities for others; builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships. Pursues professional growth; develops and provides training and development to talent for growth opportunities; supports execution of performance management guidelines and expectations. Leads, adapts, implements, and stays up to date with organizational change, challenges, feedback, best practices, processes, and industry trends. Fosters open dialogue amongst team members, engages, motivates, and promotes collaboration within and across teams. Delegates tasks and decisions as appropriate; provides appropriate support, guidance, and scope; encourages development and consideration of options in decision making.
- Manages designated work unit or team by translating business plans into tactical action items; oversees the completion of work assignments and identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures all policies and procedures are followed. Aligns team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; determines and ensures processes and methodologies are implemented; resolves escalated issues as appropriate; sets standards and measures progress. Fosters the development of work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; obtains and distributes resources. Removes obstacles that impact performance; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences teams to execute in alignment with operational objectives.
- Resolves complex problems for national quality control of timekeeping systems (i.e., HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System) by: guides strategy for work conducted alongside HR, Payroll, and other cross-functional groups across levels of the organization to resolve barriers that separate payments; validating, testing, and enhancing systems as well as approving data for the final time card in the TIME system from the paper TIME forms submitted with independent judgment and discretion; collaborating with other managers and/or providing direction to determine the best course of action to address Timekeeping and Absence Management irregularities across the enterprise; and driving the application of strategies and concepts to support the liaison for internal sources regarding Timekeeping and Absence Management as a whole (e.g., Family Medical Leave Act/Leave of Absence [FMLA/LOA]) timecard coding and pay discrepancies as needed.
- Requests, generates, and analyzes various long-term issues or data to resolve complex issues requiring innovation and ingenuity to solve by: planning the effective development and implementation of reviews and analysis; and defining issues and developing solutions for creating reports for timekeepers to analyze and help their managers make informed corrective decisions if necessary (e.g., grievance resolution).
- Ensures quality assurance for long-term and/or complex daily operations by: ensuring that newly established business processes and/or pay practice updates are communicated and implemented to/by clients as well as ensuring that the right users have access to the correct Timekeeping and Absence Management system; providing analytical research and program development for the system and having a management review committee/governing body review their work; reviewing internal system controls while driving the application of strategies and concepts to ensure that SOX and compliance controls are met; and determining the best course of action to comply with contract agreements, pay practice standards, and union agreements as established by Labor Relations.
- Ensures that clients have current and accurate documentation (i.e., HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System timekeeping and payroll related materials) by: driving the application of strategies and concepts to determine the best course of action.
- Conducts timekeeping and absence audit enterprise-wide by: planning and scheduling the effective development and implementation of audit processes; driving the application of strategies and concepts to perform periodic system and timecard audits for client areas; and developing solutions to reconcile complex HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System and payroll audits that require innovation and ingenuity to ensure that employees are receiving adequate pay.
- Proactively creates processes to avoid escalating customer inquiries by: broadly applying human resources (HR) knowledge, contract knowledge, judgment, and initiative and driving the application of strategies and concepts; serving as center of excellence specialist for National Payroll Services and HRconnect Absence, KP TIME, and KRONOS Timekeeping System support teams regarding customer issues and independently ensuring that service standards are met and receiving review from a management committee; and determining the best course of action for how to provide ongoing education and information to customers and HR services as needed.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field AND Minimum six (6) years of experience in timekeeping, an administrative environment or directly related field OR Minimum nine (9) years of experience in timekeeping, an administrative environment or a directly related field.

- Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelor's Degree, or higher in Administration or related field AND eight (8) years of experience in timekeeping, an administrative environment or a directly related field.
