Payroll Administrator IV
Processes and supports the distribution of employee payments and exercises judgment issuing or reissuing replacement checks and payment reclamation orders. Creates routine and nonroutine data uploads independently. Addresses employee inquiries and internal reporting efforts by reissuing information requests for missing or incomplete information, and escalating unanswered messages to a senior team member. Contributes to adherence to best practices, tax regulations, union contracts, and regulation authorities to ensure compliance across payroll through reviewing regulations.

- Processes employee payments by: supporting the distribution of employee payments (e.g., compensation, State Disability Insurance), in routine situations independently while also processing garnishment orders as requested; and exercising judgement issuing or reissuing replacement checks and payment reclamation orders when appropriate for standard and nonstandard payments.
- Supports or leverages payroll data processing by: entering routine and complex employee data (e.g., timesheets, employee hourly rates, earned time off) into the appropriate systems; entering routine and nonroutine data adjustments independently; creating routine and nonroutine data uploads independently; verifying adjustments and requests related to employee data; and reconciling routine, nonroutine, and complex discrepancies between payroll and other accounts.
- Addresses employee inquires and internal reporting efforts by: reissuing information requests for missing or incomplete information, and escalating unanswered messages to a senior team member; supporting the responses to routine, nonroutine, and complex inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, earned time off, basic tax analysis, and others raised by employees and supervisors and resolving concerns; working with other departments such as HR and benefits, under the direction of others, to obtain information through inquiries and process it; and preparing existing routine, nonroutine, and complex reports as requested.
- Contributes to adherence of best practices, tax regulations, union contracts, and regulation authorities to ensure compliance by: reviewing regulations to maintain familiarity to be able to contribute to adherence and interpret regulations; and preparing and submitting routine information to regulating authorities, such as application information and employment status changes.

- Minimum two (2) years of experience in payroll, or a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent AND minimum three (3) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment OR Minimum four (4) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment.
- Two (3) years of experience working with Human Resources (HR) data in a major HR Enterprise Reporting Platform (ERP) (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft, HCM, etc.).
- Associate's degree in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a directly related field AND two (2) years of experience in a corporate or business office environment or a directly related field.
