Radiology Tech Aide
- Escorts patients from the waiting room into the exam room, screen patients and other pertinent information as required by the department.
- Maintains department in an orderly fashion.
- Prepares and cleans procedure rooms and patients for examinations before and after procedures. Stocks exam rooms with appropriate supplies. Replace linen bags when filled. Obtains necessary equipment.
- Report any unsafe equipment to the lead or manager.
- Orders and maintains inventories of supplies, as required to support day-to-day unit clinical and administrative operations.
- Assists patients by answering questions or by referring the patients to the appropriate medical facility staff for assistance.
- Provides day-to-day staff support for the unit, to include preparing documents and reports, importing prior imaging for clinical comparison, receive and transport patients within the medical center as appropriate.
- Document information in patients medical record as required.
- Assists with receptionists duties including receiving telephone calls, taking messages, and returning calls as directed by provider staff. Confirm appointments, and check patients in and out.
- Communicates with other members of the health care team to coordinate patient care.
- Practices customer service standards as defined by the Medical Center and specified department. Anticipates the customers needs, and takes proactive steps to meet those needs, by listening and taking responsibility within scope to ensure issues are resolved.
- Support expedited scheduling workflows, complete appropriate forms as required by the department, and assist with appointment confirmation calls.
- Under instruction from the provider staff, provide one-on-one patient supervision during or after the exam.
- Promptly responds to alarms and patient requests.
- Facilitates the customers ability to utilize resources i.e. kiosk, consent, and facility navigation.
- Informs provider staff of any patient requiring immediate attention and brings the patient or unusual situation to the attention of the supervisor.
- Assists with data collection and quality assurance indicators.
- Performs other related duties as directed.

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting involving patient care or education in a related required preferred.
