Job Summary:

Provides physical therapy services for patients under the direction and supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and or Clinical Supervisor or designee.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assumes the responsibility as outlined in the Physical Therapists job summary and responsibilities.
  • Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in-service presentation).
  • Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
  • Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
  • Provides consultation to staff.
  • May act as a mentor for staff.
  • May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
  • Identifies process Improvement opportunities.
  • May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
  • Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
  • May be involved in the clinical competency of PTAs and Rehab Aides.
  • May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities
  • Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience

  • Minimum of (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist.
Education

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy or foreign trained equivalent.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Physical Therapist License (California) required at hire
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Basic Life Support

Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • APTA Certified Clinical Instructor preferred
