Description: Clerk
Under immediate supervision performs designated and varied clerical and administrative tasks of both a confidential and non-confidential nature. Oversees the orientation and/or training of department clerks under the supervision of a manager. Performs medical record and documentation review and analysis for completion and accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining database and reporting systems
- Developing and maintaining record keeping and filing systems.
- In addition, this position schedules staff for patient visits, triages calls and incoming customers.
- Reviews paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
- Inputs data into computerized databases.
- Maintains office/medical equipment and other duties as assigned.
- Performs reception duties for the agency
- Monitors and maintains stocks levels and integrity of office and medical supplies.
- Effectively plans and organizes work assignments, sets priorities, and completes work with a minimum of supervision per agency policy.
- Under the supervision and directions of the manager, the Senior Clerk also performs the following functions: Orientation and/or training of department clerks and inform management of any barriers preventing successful completion of training
- Coordinate workflow among department clerks with the work area
- Provide technical or function direction and support to department clerks
- Inform management of any staffing, training or equipment needs

Grade 01
Education:
- High School/GED
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in general office/administrative/clerical support
- Working knowledge of database and spreadsheet management and their associated computer programs (Microsoft Work/Excel) and other programs as required
- Demonstrate expertise in operation of standard office equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and medical record documentation
- Ability to perform varied clerical duties requiring a high degree of independent judgment, speed, and accuracy.
- Must be willing to work in a Labor management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Kaiser Permanents electronic medical record application preferred
