Job Summary:

Assesses the effectiveness of employee health services (e.g., clinical consultations, outbreak measures, exposure management, injury prevention and follow-up, employee education), strategizing ways to improve services and programs. Serves as an expert consultant across the organization, collaborating across the region and/or organization to assess and improve delivery of employee health services and ensure compliance. Advises executive level leadership on risk mitigation strategies and best practices to ensure regulatory compliance. Directs organizational strategy and plans services using immunization and testing reports. Chairs and provides consultative support to internal, local, and national committees that promote employee health. Drives committee involvement across teams. Oversees outreach efforts to increase employee participation in health promotion activities and education programs across the organization. Forecasts organizational needs for training or initiatives that promote employee health, injury prevention, and/or workplace safety, coordinating efforts to develop new trainings/initiatives. Defines standards and expectations for employee health personnel on consultation provided to employees and managers regarding employee health and safety issues, advising executive leadership on employee health issues and safety barriers. Evaluates highly complex or widespread disease exposures, interacting with regulatory and accreditation agencies/bodies related to employee health issues. Develops and implements procedures for care management for employees at risk for communicable disease exposure. Follows global, national, and regional infectious disease trends and recommends risk mitigation strategies.

Delegates tasks and decisions as appropriate; provides appropriate support, guidance and scope; encourages development and consideration of options in decision making; fosters access to stakeholders
  •  Manages designated units or teams by translating business plans into tactical action items; oversees the completion of work assignments and identifies opportunities for improvement; ensures all policies and procedures are followed; partners with key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure products and/or services meet requirements and expectations while aligning with departmental strategies. Aligns team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; assumes responsibility for decision making; fosters direct reports to resolve escalated issues as appropriate. Communicates goals and objectives; incorporates resources, costs, and forecasts into team and unit plans; ensures matrixed resources are fulfilling service or performance requirements across reporting lines. Removes obstacles that impact performance; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences teams and units to operate in alignment with operational and business objectives.
