SQA Consultant II
Primary responsibility
Supporting the remote team members of the QA team.
Assuring remote access is always available.
Maintaining QA Lab hardware, inventory control / tracking of all hardware.
Being responsible for the Workstation lease refresh process.
Secondary responsibility
To be trained as a QA Consultant
Test Packaged applications, OS Images, Microsoft Patches, Security Tools, VDI applications and OS images
The primary role of the position will be to support all Windows Workstations in the QA Lab located in Walnut Creek. This will include troubleshooting workstations that are not online or accessible to remote workers, networking issues, Raritan IP KVM Switch, Vertiv IP PDUs, and being trained to become a QA Consultant to assist our team with testing workstation requests.
Collaborating with the Release Services team and other business partners to test Application and OS Deployment Systems - MCM (Microsoft Console Manager), Intune, AppOS, Packaged applications (vendor and in house), Microsoft patch testing, KP workstation offering templates, Microsoft OS image testing, Virtual Machine (VM) testing experience, VDI Application testing, VDI Image testing, Apple IOS (iPad / Iphones), Extensive knowledge of Windows 11, PowerApps / PowerShell experience! This position requires someone who can be forward thinking and always looking for ways to make the team more efficient, to learn, develop, and cross train other QA team members, must have strong collaboration / communication skills.
This individual contributor is primarily responsible for supporting the development of the software quality assurance test strategy under the guidance of senior team members, while supporting the company's Global Quality Services Framework and end-to-end quality assurance.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field OR Minimum two (2) years IT experience, including Minimum one (1) year experience in SQA, software testing, or related field.
- One (1) year experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- One (1) year experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).
- Quality Assurance experience
- Strong technical skills
- Experience collaborating with business partners / vendors
- Windows 11 - Experience with registry, File system, Bios, Active directory, Troubleshooting, Service Request tracking, hardware support, and inventory control
