Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for assisting with performance aspects of Educational Theater Program productions, including scriptwriting, preparation, rehearsal, acting, and facilitation of assigned roles; following the booking and touring strategy of educational theater internal or community outreach programs; supporting the coordination of production schedules and internal or community service education productions; assisting in coordinating special projects including annual auditions, premieres of new programs, and community events; adhering to quality and artistic integrity of theater performances; representing KP internally, in the community, and to the media; and supporting the immediate team in promoting and creating initiatives to oversee the development of new projects within the theater programs to achieve program and community/organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Works on design and development of trainings by: revising basic content (e.g., training aids) and assisting in content management while also reviewing guidelines to ensure curriculum accuracy, with guidance; supporting the selection of potential training methods (e.g., e-learning, in-person, classroom, on-site, just-in-time support, web sessions, and conference calls) and programs; documenting training objectives for education modules, processing revisions of training modules, and supporting materials, with guidance; supporting prioritization of short-term learning goals and objectives, ensuring goals are in alignment with the business unit learning objectives; and providing feedback on current content/course material to designers or managers.
  • Gathers programs training needs by: supporting a basic needs assessment of training and or performance issue.
  • Monitors effectiveness of training by: using basic methods to measure the effectiveness of training to foster continuous improvement of programs.
  • Completes work assignmentsand supports completion of projects by: coordinating and supporting the execution of project/program plans which include completing standard and repetitive work.
  • Responsible for aiding in the   delivery of effective training by: supporting other trainers with training delivery (e.g., orientation, customer service, and supervisory skills); learning how to facilitate training using adult learning principles; preparing documents to support the evaluation and the application of skills, knowledge, and training objectives; documenting feedback or results of the training assessment; and coordinating with trainers in preparing necessary materials for effective training delivery and assisting in selecting best practices for training modalities (e.g., virtual, in-person classroom).
Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma GED required, OR Minimum one (1) year of experience in training delivery, curriculum design, training development and evaluation, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year(s) of experience in acting, touring theatre experience, theatre production, and/or educational theatre and community outreach.
