Southern California Health Care Careers

When you join Kaiser Permanente Southern California, you’re part of a diverse organization focused on helping our members, our communities, and our health care professionals. You can see this across our teams and our facilities. In fact, six of our Southern California hospitals have earned Magnet recognition which is the highest recognition for nursing excellence. Also, to give you a voice in decision making, we’re structured in Unit Based Teams (UBTs) that allow everyone to collaborate and improve care while also working on performance improvement projects. Whether you’re looking to excel in your current career or grow into a new one, here you’ll have access to exceptional training and development programs.

How you can join us:

What Our People Say

Emergency Department RN

What sets the bar high at Kaiser Permanente are all the options we have. From paid continuing education to variable schedules, we’re encouraged to achieve the career we want. Also, we have great benefits that allow ample vacation time and life balance days.

Phlebotomist - Lab Assistant

I like being part of a team that makes quality patient care a priority. I’m supported through training programs that allow me to advance my knowledge and build my skills. I know I’m providing the best care and services to our patients.

Clinical Staff RN

I chose Kaiser Permanente because of the job security, the great benefits, and our work-life balance. Also, as a SCAL Regional Nursing Research Resident, I was able to advance my education and earn a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management.

Medical Assistant

We partner with local organizations to give back to the community. This includes toy drives, back-to-school donations, food drives, sending medical relief during times of disaster, and even being part of the famous Rose Parade in Pasadena.

Psychiatric Social Worker

I’m supported by my peers and my managers. I can reach out to a colleague or my manager for support on a case I’m working with. I love collaborating because we have one goal in mind: providing the best care for our members. I truly feel respected.

Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

My team is full of professionals. We’re very respectful, work as a big happy family, and have opportunities for career advancement. Kaiser Permanente allowed me to cross-train in multiple modalities. To me, radiology is more than just capturing images — we help people get through tough times.

Department Administrator (DA) for Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

My job as a leader is busy, and I constantly think about work because I care about my team and our members. But Kaiser Permanente never fails to remind us of the importance of life balance. We’re encouraged to take vacation, and the Thrive campaign reminds us to stay active. That’s why I started practicing yoga.

I’m privileged to work with so many amazing people. My call center manager helped me grow as an employee and as a person. My chief in orthopedics was my mentor for 10 years. His daily motivational talks made me rethink my life and go back to school to pursue my nursing career.

Nursing Project Coordinator

As a nurse, you’ll be inspired to accomplish meaningful career goals. You’ll also have a strong voice in health care legislation, practice decisions, and the work environment. I’m proud to say I work at Kaiser Permanente. We’re a family. Be ready to grow into the best you can be.

Appointment Clerk

Working at Kaiser Permanente has truly been rewarding. Every day, I help members during their most trying times. I can listen to their concerns and then help, even with the smallest request. I can hear the comfort and reassurance in their voice. There’s nothing more rewarding than that.

Respiratory Care Practitioner

I chose Kaiser Permanente because I believe in the mission. We also have opportunities to grow professionally. I started as a pharmacy technician and utilized our tuition reimbursement to earn my bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy. I’m grateful for everything the organization has allowed me to achieve.
