Salary Range:  $27.93/hour-$32.84/hour



2024 Summer Internship



Location:


This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CO.



Department Description:


The CO FP&A department supports the strategic vision of the region by providing financial performance analysis and long-term planning. The FPA& department oversees all aspects of financial management within the organization, including development of key performance indicators & communication of risks and opportunities.



Internship Project(s):


Growth/margin curve flex
Specialty vs PCP cost structure analysis
Product performance modeling
Monthly Performance KPIs/Executive reports
Cost account modeling


Target Majors:


Business Administration; Finance & Accounting; Math/Statistics; Healthcare Administration



Target Skills:


Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Critical thinking/analytical mindset
Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills
Financial accounting principles
Familiarity with SQL or Azure - preferred

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.

  • Report development and analytics.

  • Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.

  • Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.

  • Job shadowing in other functional areas.

  • Performing additional duties as required.

  • The union and the company are currently investigating the bargaining unit status of this position. If it is determined that this is a bargaining unit position, bargaining unit status (seniority dates, dues payments etc.) will be applied on a retroactive basis based on the employment commencement date.

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate degree from an accredited university within the last year.
  • 3.0 GPA or above.

  • Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
