Description:
Under immediate supervision, cooks food to order on the cafeteria grill; rethermalizes food for cafeteria consumption and performs other related functions.
Job Summary:
Under immediate supervision, cooks food to order on the cafeteria grill; rethermalizes food for cafeteria consumption and performs other related functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Cooks food to order such as hamburgers, eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches on the cafeteria grill during a designated meal period and according to a predetermined menu. Assists cook in preparing food for patients, cafeteria patrons and catered events by such duties as defrosting food, preparing salads, vegetables, rice and other items on the menu for that day. Serves food to cafeteria patrons in accordance with established serving procedures. Delivers requested items to physicians dinning room. Refrigerates, wraps and dates food as required. maintains cleanliness of assigned work area and related equipment. may perform duties of dietary Aid or storeroom Worker as required. Performs other related duties as required. Establishes and maintains courteous and cooperative relationships with public, patients and personnel. Promotes, ensures, and improves customer service to internal/external customers by demonstrating skills which are consistent with the organizations philosophy of providing extraordinary customer relations and quality service.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- One (1) year experience as a cook. Ability to work from recipes. Knowledge of hospital food service operation preferred.
- Ability to lift and manipulate food and supply containers up to 40lbs.

• This position requires mandatory travel 50% between two hospital Fontana and Ontario Medical Centers.
