Job Summary:

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for assisting (with direction) the development of enterprise-wide Interiors and Brand Standards, initiatives, and programs towards creating a consistent member experience; assisting (with direction) the research, development, and implementation of interiors/brand tools, templates, and training; assisting (with direction) the evolution of Interiors and Brand Standards in response to industry trends and innovations to enhance wellness, productivity, and member satisfaction; assisting (with direction) ongoing refinement, simplification and cost-containment of Interiors and Brand components and programs; assisting (with direction) the review of projects at key milestones to ensure Interiors and Brand alignment; assisting (with direction) interiors and Brand expertise within the department and as advisor to enterprise-wide teams, regions, and consultants; assisting (with direction) specialized interior design knowledge for best practice applications of lighting, finishes, furnishings, wall / floor systems, environmental graphics, signage, safety, ergonomics, technology, infection prevention and maintenance, with a focus on user requirements, constructability, and cost; assisting (with direction) contributions to Content Expert Panels; assisting (with direction) the development of experience assessment tools to guide the implementation of Interiors and Brand Standards; assisting (with direction) the development of presentations and training materials for internal teams and external consultants to ensure compliance and alignment with brand standards, budget, and schedule; assisting (with direction) strategies for selection and specifications of furniture, finishes, artwork, and graphics; assisting (with direction) effective partnerships with interior design related vendor relationships and services; assisting (with direction) the incorporation of innovative interior design developments and evolving furniture solutions from other industries such as hospitality, education, and retail; assisting (with direction) ongoing improvements recommendations for procurement strategies and life-cycle asset management for furniture, finishes, and artwork; assisting (with direction) the adoption of sustainable technologies, industry best practices and avoidance of chemicals of concern into projects; collaborates as thought leader with other leading institutions and corporations on sustainable initiatives; assisting (with direction) the coordination with Marketing and other departments and efforts for brand alignment; assisting (with direction) the knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to Interiors and Brand Standards program and planning; assisting (with direction) the incorporation of best practice outcomes from post-occupancy reviews into Interiors and Brand Standards; and assisting (with direction) interiors / Brand technical guidance, coordination and project-level supervision to designers/drafters and less experienced architects/planners.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines; follows procedures and policies, and applies data and resources to support projects or initiatives with limited guidance and/or sponsorship. Supports the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Identifies and speaks up for ways to address improvement opportunities.

  • Assists planning and design projects by: using judgment and discretion to assist with the resolution of problems; communicating between the project team and other personnel as needed; and assisting in developing training materials for the team or consultants on strategies and concepts, coordination, and management of the support teams area of expertise.
  • Supports NFS program deliverables by: working on components of National Facilities Services (NFS) initiatives and projects from initiation through design phase with close oversight from senior management; developing and executing project plans independently or under the direction of others; monitoring project performance (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope, and with quality) against plans under the guidance of more senior project managers; assisting with project activities related to organizational change management (e.g., development and execution of user adoption, implementation, and training plans) as defined by the project; and allocating resources, establishes schedules, and makes task assignments.
  • Contributes to consultants relationship management by: providing guidance and coordination to designers/drafters/engineers and architects/planners/engineers; and obtaining and applying working research knowledge on building codes and materials from vendor.
  • Acts in compliance with KP requirements by: developing a working knowledge of the enterprise facilities design standards development to ensure quality solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, etc.), Planning (e.g., Space Planning), Interior Design, Construction Management, Cost Estimating, or related field AND minimum one (1) year of experience in planning, architectural, design, engineering, CADD, hospital/medical facility, healthcare planning, construction estimating, or a directly related field. OR Minimum four (4) years of experience working in planning, architectural, design, engineering, CADD, hospital/medical facility, healthcare planning, construction estimating, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • LEED Accredited.
  • National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certification.
  • EDAC Certification.
  • Two (2) years of experience in healthcare or another heavily regulated industry (e.g., Banking).
  • One (1) year experience developing and delivering presentations.
  • Two (2) years experience in business analysis.
  • One (1) year experience working with advanced Excel functions including, formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • One (1) year data analytics experience.
  • One (1) year experience working with collaboration software (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.).
  • One (1) year experience working with Data Analysis Software (e.g., Macros, Miro, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
