Description:
Supports maintenance of facilities, exteriors, and grounds. Maintains buildings and equipment through the application of facilities management practices, services. Applies with standard protocols for the disposal of materials including general waste, regulated/hazardous materials, or other applicable contents and maintains appropriate licensure or permits for relevant regulatory parties. Helps to maintain safety through the inspection of and preparation for drills and facilities operations. Assures that budgets are met and improved upon in projects across the facilities management and that timelines of projects are maintained. Drives space and occupancy planning under direction of space planning groups. Partners with technical support teams to provide technical support for relevant technologies within the facilities.
Job Summary:

Drives space and occupancy planning under direction of space planning groups. Partners with technical support teams to provide technical support for relevant technologies within the facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Conducts or oversees business-specific projects by applying deep expertise in subject area; promotes adherence to all procedures and policies. Develops work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; coordinates and delegates resources to accomplish organizational goals. - Maintains hospital and campus grounds by: implementing strategies and processes to coordinate landscaping services with vendors to maintain the upkeep of grounds and public sidewalks across a campus; and completing highly complex landscaping equipment repairs.
- Supports the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and amenities by: using advanced knowledge of facilities management practices to resolve mechanical building problems (e.g., energy management, waste management, asbestos abatement, managing space moves and moving services, planning, space planning, and emergency management); completing complex repairs on building equipment, tools, machinery, and amenities to ensure they are in working condition; and providing guidance, training resources, and answering questions from others who complete preventive maintenance requests to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environmental work area.
- Supports compliance efforts by: driving the application of processes according to Title 22, CMS, CDPH, and TJC to record, monitor, and manage the disposal of regulated medical, patient, and employee information (e.g., Protected Health Information), pharmaceutical, and hazardous waste materials; and exercising independent judgment to develop solutions to ensure required licenses and operating permits are maintained across the team in accordance with local, state, and federal regulation.
- Supports safety, inspection, and emergency preparation by: coordinating uncommon or infrequent drills according to NFPA and Life Safety Code with local authorities and completing or delegating reports based on drill outcomes; and conducting critical inspection tours to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the facility.
- Supports facility improvement and budget management by: updating and revising the operating program budget for complex improvement projects; working with function stakeholders to drive facility, renovation, and operational programs so that buildings are maintained in a safe and operationally effective condition; addressing complex maintenance projects within a region such as designing, remodeling, renovating, and equipping facilities with capabilities to reduce costs and improve service; and implementing templates and documents used by others to analyze and report the work and timeliness of maintenance projects and track the project status.
- Supports projects related to space and occupancy planning by: interpreting complex blueprints and planning specifications for the remodeling or installation of building add-ons; fulfilling complex requests for office space, move dates, furniture equipment, telephone, data equipment, post move adjustments, and building maintenance; and implementing tactics to conduct space and occupancy planning across facilities to coordinate the use of administrative space.
- Contributes to technical support by: providing support on a range of complex issues including infrastructure equipment, HVAC equipment and facilities, video conferencing equipment, telephone, and network installation in partnership with technical teams for network problems; and exercising independent judgment to develop solutions to test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure contracting specifications are fulfilled.
- Supports vendor and contract management by: working with function stakeholders to drive the review of product and invoices, obtain bids, and collect construction details construction details to evaluate vendor performance, capabilities, and quality; working with function stakeholders to clarify business needs, develop project specifications, and select vendor services related to operations and other essential services; and delegating tracking and reporting on vendor performance for multiple contracts using specific, core metrics to ensure adherence to contractual provisions, regulatory specifications, and compliance with the organizations policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Engineering, Public Administration, Health Care Administration, Engineering, Construction, Industrial Hygiene, Architectural, or related field AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in facility maintenance/management or a directly related field OR Minimum eleven (11) years of experience in facility maintenance/management or a directly related field.
- Driver's License (Oregon) within 1 months of hire OR Driver's License (Washington) within 1 months of hire
- Driver's License (from any state) required at hire

- Two (2) years of experience in construction and facilities maintenance, finance or financial analysis.
- Three (3) years of experience working in an organization with union represented employees.

Pay Range: $136200 - $176220 / year
