Description:
Job Summary:

Front Desk Receptionists for Home Health & Hospice Branch Office, triaging incoming phone calls between the Clinical staff and the patient. Coordinate the required signed documentation from the GH MD on Plan of Care of the patient. Insure Clinical visits, travel time and mileage are correct in the Horizon system before they are posted, follow-up with clinician on any questions and make corrections. Maintain Medical Supply closet for Clinical staff. Be available for special projects, admin support for leadership in the Branch and a variety of office duties.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Triage incoming phone calls between the Clinical staff and the patient. Research the patient needs to forward to the best person. Document phone call notes on Horizon when necessary.
  • Misc duties: Faxing/Coping, Office Supplies tracking and ordering, Creating Admit Packets for Home Health & Hospice Programs, Scanning of Medical Records, Maintain Conference Room Calendar, Misc. Reports and Projects. Point person for Hospice donations. Tracking of Diverts and EDS patients and entering into JIVA (future - currently into CareTracker) Duties as Required.
  • Ensure Clinical visits, Travel Time and Mileage are correct before posting to the Horizon system. Follow up with clinical staff if questions and make correct.
  • Print, send and track received MD orders to be signed by the MD for patients Plan of Care, follow-up with MD if orders are not received back. Scan and send to Springbrook.
  • Maintain Par level of onsite Medical Supplies for Clinical Staff. Track Equipment and issue related to Clinical TPT Staff. Create Clinical Equipment Tote for new Staff.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year of office experience.
  • Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
Education

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A
Additional Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office to include basic Excel knowledge and basic Visio knowledge.
  • Accuracy, organizational, problem solving, customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college coursework.
