Please submit your accommodation request and an HR Representative will contact you.
Screen cytologic smears for malignant cells and microorganisms. Report results or refer to physician. Enter results in hospital computer system. Prepare and stain cytologic preparations.
- Screen cytologic smears (both Pap smears and non-GYN smears) for suspicious and malignant cells, and microorganisms, and to determine specimen adequacy.
- Report out final Pap smear results on negative cases not requiring QC or physician review. Submit appropriate cases to physicians and for QC review.
- Accurately enter Pap smear results into the hospital computer system (CORTEX).
- Be able to process specimens if Lab Assistants are not available (rare occurrence).
- Maintain productivity targets and accuracy ratings as described in the cytologic lab manual and the performance evaluation. Meet all other performance evaluation standards for human relations, problem solving, initiative personnel policies, maintenance, and clerical tasks.
