Department Description:


The Care Experience Department in a hospital is dedicated to improving patient and family satisfaction by fostering a positive, patient-centered environment. It serves as a bridge between patients, families, and healthcare providers, addressing concerns and promoting effective communication. The department gathers and analyzes feedback, utilizing surveys and other tools to measure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. It focuses on training leaders across the organization to champion this work, empowering them to implement strategies that enhance care delivery. By working collaboratively with trained leaders and various teams, the department ensures trust, transparency, and a consistently high-quality experience for all patients.



Intern Project(s):


Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage project plans focused on enhancing care experiences, ensuring they align with organizational goals.


Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals, administrators, and patients to identify needs and implement solutions.


Data Analysis: Collect and analyze patient feedback and care metrics to inform project decisions and measure success.


Training and Education: Organize training sessions for staff on patient-centered care practices and effective communication.

Job Summary:

Under supervision assists in the provision of information, maintenance of databases, report production and routine data analysis. Work is reviewed for completeness, accuracy and soundness.



Essential Responsibilities:

Examples of project support include Collects, prepares and tracks reports and summaries such as: budget to actual expenditures, production statistics, and utilization of services and statistical records of performance. Performs a variety of data collection and analysis assignments. Prepares ad hoc data requests as directed. Prepares and/or formats graphs, spreadsheets and reports by utilizing office software. May be asked to maintain databases on a regular basis by entering data and preparing data extracts. May extract information from different sources to compile data. Executes existing queries for established reports.  Schedules conference calls and meetings. Contributes to the development of presentations materials. Provides administrative and project support as assigned such as copying, filing, entering and extracting data. Engages in and supports project work.  Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Access and database experience desirable.
  • Prior office experience also desirable.
