Job Summary:
Operates radiology equipment under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiology technologist in the state of WA. Actively and continuously enrolled in a certified Radiology Technology program. Under direct supervision of a licensed RT produce radiographic images of specified areas of the body and performs related technical x-ray procedures in accordance with physicians orders and standard techniques, procedures or specific instructions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Documents all quality control as required for regulatory agencies.
- Considers the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process in delivery of services to patients in the age group served. Assesses data reflective of the patients status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides the care needed in accordance with department policy. Exercises clinical judgment within scope of practice.
- Creates CDs of images to be sent to outside physicians, faxes reports to outside physician offices as needed.
- Greets, instructs and communicates to all patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Prepares examination and treatment rooms for use by physicians and other medical providers by cleaning, stocking and arranging supplies, equipment and instruments.
- Reviews orders and takes appropriate action.
- Works under the direct supervision of a WA state licenses RT. The supervisor (RT) must be present in the facility and immediately available to offer any assistance or guidance to the student while the student is performing various radiological procedures.

Education
- High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire
Additional Requirements:
- Must be in good academic standing in the RT program.
- Enrolled in a Radiologic Technology training program approved by the American Medical Association.
- Ability to operate Radiologic equipment and perform related technical procedures under direct supervision.
- May require heavy lifting.
- General knowledge of medical terminology and techniques and procedures.
- Effective verbal communication skills and basic keyboarding skills required.
- Highly effective organizational and multitasking skills.
