Description:
Job Summary:

To assist with decision-making processes, provides analytical, planning and/or administrative guidance to departmental/divisional leadership and/or managers. Implements data driven decisions & strategies for department/division. Consults with managers in the use of analytical & reporting tools to develop effective clinical, cost, quality & satisfaction outcomes. Provides oversight for the content, format & production of regular & ad hoc reports. Participates in and may facilitate work groups and committees. May provide a limited amount of project management. May overs & verify correctness of regulatory reports. May design & maintain the departmental/division web page. May supervisor and/or train others.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Consults with department/division clients to identify needed analysis including utilization, financial, customer satisfaction, market/benchmark, etc. Completes detailed analysis within agreed upon time line, using appropriate analytical methodologies & various applications & data access tools to complete data compilation & analysis. Presents information and/or recommendations for management decision making in a useful & easy to understand manner. Identifies system and/or process errors impacting data quality. Works with ISD staff on programming changes. May be responsible for the development and maintenance of a system unique to the department/division.

  • Develops report design & content.  Develops tools for analysis & presentation of results.  Coordinates the production & communication for all standard and customized reports for the department/division.  Develops & implements guidelines for report presentation formats.

  • Participates in work groups or teams as an analytical representative of the department/division. May recommend new policies & procedures and implement agreed upon changes.

  • Provides consultative services and/or training to managers on the use of analytical systems, data & other tools

  • May provide limited project management by recommending, planning, coordinating & implementing projects. May design & update departmental/divisional portion of web page. May supervise analytical and/or reports, data, new technology, etc. May advise, update and troubleshoot department/division technology needs and coordinate computer hardware/software upgrades.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience


  • Minimum three (3) years of analytical, data management & reporting, computer/programming, and/or business experience.

Education

  • Bachelors degree OR a minimum four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) is required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A
Additional Requirements:

  • May require prior experience in department/division and/or programming
  • Press Ganey systems experience.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and analysis and data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Communication, critical thinking organizational, decision making, interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Software skills to include MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
  • May require prior experience in department/division and/or programming
  • Press Ganey systems experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Press Ganey system(s) as analyst preferred.
  • Vendor relations.
  • Survey management; system management; sampling experience.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Knowledge of KFHPW systems, Lotus Notes, HTML, SAS, SPSS, GQL, Visual Basic and other database programs related to the department or division.
  • Medical terminology and practices.
  • Project management, TQM, TQI, Statistics, Accounting and budgeting.
  • Tableau.
